變形金剛3重新編曲《彩虹光芒》，已是Linkin Park與變形金剛3系列電影的第三度合作。
此前，變形金剛和變形金剛2的主題曲《What I' ve done》與《New Divide》也都出自Linkin Park之手。
隨著電影的熱映，這兩首主題曲都成為了流行樂壇的暢銷單曲。
彩虹是收錄在Linkin Park2010年專輯《烈日千陽》（A thousand Suns）中的一首歌曲，旋律舒緩，歌詞簡練，悲傷之中透露著希望，整體給人一種比較憂傷的文藝范的感覺。
在Linkin Park的歌曲中，算是非常抒情的一首。在為變形金剛3重新編曲的混音版本中，雖然著重加強了節奏，但與此前氣勢磅薄、金屬感極強的《What I' ve done》與《New Divide》相比，《彩虹光芒》混音版還是顯得比較抒情，給人一種完全不一樣的感覺。
不知道這是不是意味著變形金剛3會在整體風格與情緒基調上，相較前兩部有不小的變化。
